The trip costs $200 per person. In 2025, a new ticket sales and tourist information point was opened next to the La Paloma Museum, open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tickets can also be purchased through this website. Children under 12 travel for free.
This service is designed for people with reduced mobility and features a low-floor design, access ramp, a designated (free) space for one wheelchair, and two priority seats. Passengers traveling with pets are also welcome, provided they follow basic safety guidelines such as using a collar and leash, etc.
SCHEDULE
The full route includes 23 strategic stops every day of the week during the summer.
The main stop is strategically located in front of the La Paloma Museum, and the bus sets off daily in two shifts: at 10 a.m. and at 3 p.m.
The tour includes a 30-minute stop at Rocha Lagoon, offering passengers the chance to explore this beautiful natural setting. Another stop is at the Port of La Paloma, highlighting its importance to local fishing. At both Rocha Lagoon and the Port of La Paloma, visitors will have the opportunity to try typical products made from the day’s catch.

CANELONES TAKES YOU
In February, the Canelones Tourism Development Office resumes its one-day excursions to nearby destinations, including coastal, urban, and rural routes in the department, perfect for complementing your summer stay on special dates.
Those vacationing in Canelones can enjoy transportation to nearby spots on specific dates such as holidays or events like the Harvest Festival, among others. All tours must be booked in advance through the Canelones Tourism Office’s WhatsApp: (+598) 92 572 584.
THE MONTEVIDEO TOURIST BUS IS BACK
Starting Tuesday, November 12, Montevideo’s Tourist Bus returns with its Historical-Cultural circuit, featuring daily departures and discounts for Uruguayan residents.
The modern, double-decker, electric, accessible buses will allow visitors to explore the city and its most iconic landmarks every day from 9 a.m. to 8:50 p.m. Pick up and drop off at the Port Market.
The circuit will include a guide on board and space for a wheelchair. Each seat is equipped with a console and headphones, offering commentary on the tour in Spanish, English, and Portuguese.
Discover Montevideo in Body and Soul is the city’s only hop-on hop-off tour. This means passengers can complete the approximately two-hour route, get off at the attractions they’re most interested in, explore them in depth, and then continue the tour on the next bus.

TOURIST BUS TOUR IN LAVALLEJA

The Municipality of Lavalleja also offers a regular tourist bus tour to the department’s main attractions. The route and schedule alternate on different days and times, and the service is free of charge for both tourists and local residents.
