The mixture of fresh and salt water makes it very favorable for fishing highly valued species such as, for example, shrimp. It can be defined as a simple and warm town where fishermen and tourists coexist.\r\nIn its small restaurants you can have lunch or dinner with seafood and fish caught in the area. From Barra de Valizas, crossing the creek, one arrives at the Cerro de la Buena Vista, a granite formation practically covered by sand that offers in its summit a spectacular landscape. It is a natural and pure adrenaline track for sandboard fans. During a walk along the coast, in the direction of Cabo Polonio, you can see the remains of the Don Guillermo, a U.S. Navy barge that ran aground in 1952.","primary_image":"[{\"id\":342,\"url\":\"https:\/\/uruguaynatural.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/image-1-2.png\"}]","secondary_image":"[]","gallery_images":"[{\"id\":352,\"url\":\"http:\/\/uruguaynatural.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/valizas1.jpg\"},{\"id\":353,\"url\":\"http:\/\/uruguaynatural.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/4.png\"}]","enable_map":"1","coord_lat":"","coord_lng":"","locations":"-34.33694763013214,-53.79378851960764","department":"Rocha","_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/uruguaynatural.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/places\/351","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/uruguaynatural.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/places"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/uruguaynatural.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/places"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/uruguaynatural.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/1"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/uruguaynatural.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=351"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"place-categories","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/uruguaynatural.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/place-categories?post=351"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
