The emblematic Chapel of Villa Santo Domingo Soriano with an articulated Christ, a giant and aged Timb\u00f3 tree located at the entrance to the town, the Maeso museum and the museum and regional library Casa de Marfet\u00e1n, constitute some of the unavoidable attractions for the tourists that arrive. However, the representative icon par excellence of the town is its old pier, which was recently restored and adapted to contemporary needs. Next to it is the first River Station of Uruguay, installed in the well-known former Hotel Olivera, an emblematic patrimonial building built at the end of the 19th century, where today service is provided to the navigators and to the different visitors of the region. The building has a tourist information center, public restrooms, a prefecture office, a multipurpose room for exhibitions, meetings and events, and a cafeteria with a terrace overlooking the river where it is possible to spend a pleasant time enjoying the peace and beauty of the place.<\/article>\r\n
