Palmar<\/span><\/h1>","short_description":"This small town, born with the Constituci\u00f3n Hydroelectric Dam in Paso Palmar, transmits to the visitor peace, tranquility and possibilities of direct contact with nature. It is located 75km upstream from Mercedes on the banks of the Negro River. It was born to house all the personnel who worked in the construction of the dam between 1977 and 1981.","description":"A highlight of the town is the hydroelectric power plant itself, which brought great changes to the area, mainly for the inhabitants of the town of Andresito, which had to be completely moved to the point it currently occupies, in the department of Flores.\r\nWhen the level of the lake lowers, you can see some remains of what were the buildings of the village. But the great attraction of the area is the lake of Palmar with its almost 30,000 hectares of surface where multiple activities can be carried out, from boat rides and nautical sports, to magnificent fishing days.\r\nMochuelos, catfish, mojarras, peyerreyes and dientudos, are the most frequent species in the area. On the other side of the dam, downstream, it is also possible to catch the coveted Dorado. At nightfall, tourists have several lodging offers such as the Municipal Hotel or picturesque cabins that are rented to the public at very convenient prices.\r\n\r\n \r\n
