The sculpture walk began in the framework of the International Sculptors Biennial of the Liga de Fomento de Canelones, which has been held since 2000 with the aim of promoting the aesthetic and functional development of the seaside resort.\r\n\r\n<\/div>\r\n<div class=\"mas-visitados clearfix\">\r\n<figure><img class=\"circular-img\" src=\"https:\/\/uruguaynatural.com\/images\/destinos-destacados\/8.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\r\n<h4>Former hotel La Floresta<\/h4>\r\nLocated at the end of the avenue&nbsp;<a class=\"enlace-contextual\" title=\"Treinta y Tres\" href=\"http:\/\/www.viajeauruguay.com\/treinta-y-tres\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Treinta y Tres<\/a>, on the promenade, it is one of the most iconic buildings of the department. In front there is a large area with benches and gazebos to watch the sunset. The \"descent of the hotel\" is the most crowded point of the beach.&nbsp;It is the first hotel of the spa. It opened its doors on December 27, 1914. For that time, the railroad that was joining Montevideo with Maldonado began to stop in the station Mosquitos, next to this nascent spa, to bring excursionists. The original construction was made of wood and was illuminated by gasogen.\r\n\r\n<\/div>\r\n<div class=\"mas-visitados clearfix\">\r\n<figure><img class=\"circular-img\" src=\"https:\/\/uruguaynatural.com\/images\/destinos-destacados\/5.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\r\n<h4>Virgen de Flores Sanctuary<\/h4>\r\nTo the north of La Floresta is the very modern and imposing Sanctuary dedicated to the Virgin of the Flowers, of the Orionine Movement in Uruguay, where the founder of the Movement, San Luis Orione, better known as Don Orione, was living.\r\n\r\n<\/div>\r\n<div class=\"mas-visitados clearfix\">\r\n<figure><img class=\"circular-img\" src=\"https:\/\/uruguaynatural.com\/images\/destinos-destacados\/7.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\r\n<h4>Eladio Dieste Water Tank<\/h4>\r\nLocated just 200 meters south of the Interbalnearia route, hidden among the lush trees that characterize the Las Vegas resort, on the banks of the Arroyo Solis Chico is this work of Eladio Dieste. It is an openwork tower for a water tank built in bricks, and it is a clear reference of the architectural style of its author.
