A visit to the Queguay medicinal herbs pharmacy, in Calzada de Andrés Pérez, and to the Almirón Thermal Center, the only salt water center in the region, are unavoidable for those who come in search of wellness and healthy practices.

History toursIn the outskirts of the city you can visit the site of Cañada Grande, its battle stories, and tour the Butiá Yatay Palm groves. There you will find the site of the "Batalla del Palmar", as well as natural fields, natural landscapes in the "cuchilla de Haedo", old ranches and small farmhouses, fences and stone mangas. The ruins of the ranch where Melchora Cuenca lived with General José Artigas, near the Andrés Pérez pass of the Queguay Grande River, is a must for history buffs. In addition, it is possible to visit the estancia "El Ancla", known for its family museum, whose pieces reflect the process of military confrontations between whites and reds.

In the Cuchilla del Fuego and its surroundings you can visit the Moon Calendar - a petroglyph of 28 phases, and the Camino de los Indios, a stretch of the millenary path attributed to the Guarani.

From Guichón you can also access the Charrúa memorial "Betum Artasam Baquiu", a work of the plastic artist Juan Carlos Ualde, in memory of the Charrúa nation, installed in the Salsipuedes stream, site where one of the genocides of this people took place.Privileged nature

In the Protected Area of Montes del Queguay there are interpretive trails of native flora and fauna, an ideal environment to see various species of birds, bats, mammals, and for the interpretation of native trees.

The Queguay River is a privileged setting for kayaking and canoeing. The contrast between the calm lagoons of clear water and the exciting rapids offer an ideal environment for adventure sports and the enjoyment of the exuberant nature. Sport fishing is also a protagonist in the region, which appreciates the return of tararira tornasol and dorados in baitcast, spining, flycast modalities.Pedal and nature
Natural landscapes and troop roads lend themselves to pedaling and discovering the beauty of deep Uruguay. The mountain bike circuits become a memorable recreational option.
["GET
